Rodent Control in Woodland, CA

Woodland is an agricultural county seat with a large stock of historic houses, and the fields around it set the calendar for rodent calls.

Around Woodland

Woodland is the county seat of Yolo County. The seat moved here in 1862 from Washington, now West Sacramento, after Washington flooded. The town had gained a federal post office the year before with the help of a Missourian, Frank S. Freeman, and the land around it, well irrigated through the efforts of James Moore, drew people into farming early. Woodland calls itself the City of Trees, and valley oaks are the main native species planted around it.

Interstate 5 and State Route 113 both run through the city, and in the older part of town the streets form a straight grid. The Woodland Opera House is on Second St, the Woodland Public Library on 1st St and the Historic Woodland Train Depot on Lincoln Ave. Woodland Community College and Gibson Plaza are on E Gibson Rd, and the Gibson House on Gibson Rd. Woodland Sports Park and the Woodland Off Leash Dog Park share an address on East St, Pioneer Park is on Branigan Ave and Ferns Park on W Southwood Dr, and Woodland Gateway and the Woodland Regional Park Preserve are both on County Road 102.

What makes Woodland different

When the surrounding crops are harvested, the cover and the food go at once and everything living in the fields moves toward buildings - the edge of town feels it first. The older neighborhoods near downtown have a lot of early twentieth century housing on raised foundations, and a century of settling, additions and utility runs leaves more ways in than any one inspection from the driveway will find. Detached garages, sheds and outbuildings are common on those lots and very often hold the population that is feeding the house.

How we work in Woodland

The same five steps everywhere: a free phone estimate, finding exactly how they are getting in, sealing those openings in steel and mortar, trapping and monitoring what is left inside, then cleaning and sanitizing. No poison and no recurring contract. The exclusion work is a one-time repair backed by our guarantee.

Our Carmichael office at 6839 Hillside Dr puts Woodland a short run away. We also work Davis and West Sacramento, and the wider Carmichael area.
