Mice Control in Phoenix, AZ
Mice get in through gaps most people would not call a gap, and with no winter to slow them down they breed all year. We remove what is inside and close the openings, rather than putting bait on a schedule.
A quarter of an inch, and where they find one here
A mouse needs an opening about the width of a pencil. On a stucco house on a slab the reliable ones are low: the weep screed at the base of the walls where the stucco has cracked or pulled away, the garage door seal that no longer meets the slab, and the corner where the garage meets the house.
Then everything that passes through the walls - the air conditioning line set, plumbing, cable and gas - and the dryer and bath vents whose flaps have stopped closing.
Why the garage is usually first
In this valley the garage is where most mouse problems start. It is shaded, it holds stored boxes, pet food and bird seed, and its door is the biggest moving seal on the house. From the garage, the wall it shares with the house and the attic above it are the next steps in.
Why bait stations never finish the job
Bait treats the population, not the building. It kills the mouse inside your walls or your attic, which in Phoenix heat is something you will notice. And because the openings are still open, the next one is already on its way in.
We trap what is inside, seal the openings in material that cannot be chewed, and clean up the contamination properly - and then it is done.

FAQ
Mice Control: common questions
I only ever see one mouse. Is that really an infestation?
Usually it means there are more you are not seeing, because mice are nocturnal and stay in cover. Droppings, runs and nesting material tell you the size of the problem far better than sightings do.
Should I clean up the droppings myself?
We would rather you did not. Rodent droppings and nesting material are a contamination problem, and sweeping them stirs them up. Leave it, and we will handle it with containment and protective equipment as part of the work.
Is there a mouse season in Phoenix?
Not the way there is in a cold climate. With no winter die-off, mice breed all year, so a house that is open stays occupied. Nothing is settled until the openings are closed.
